即將於4月20日至28日於台北盛大揭幕的 Objets Nomades 家具 & Les Petits Nomades 高級家飾系列展，展出全新 Objets Nomades 系列作品，例如 Zanellato 與 Bortotto 設計雙人組設計的燈籠； Atelier Biagetti 以不同尺寸重新詮釋的 Anemona 桌、全新配色 Bomboca 沙發與 Bell Lamp 2012年問世的 Objets Nomades 系列傳承路易威登打造精美旅行用品的悠久歷史；Les Petits Nomades 系列則是從設計師的 Objets Nomades 設計（路易威登不斷擴增的限量版典藏傢俱系列）汲取靈感，所創作的小巧家飾系列。兩個系列都是 Louis Vuitton 高雅精緻，兼具功能性與美觀的，啟發人心的設計創作。

Vuitton Les Petits Nomades 居家飾品系列，別出心裁、充滿詩意且優雅別緻：出自 Humberto 與 Fernando Campana、Atelier Oï、Patricia Urquiola 及 Marcel Wanders 等世界最知名設計師之手的居家飾品傑作。Vuitton Les Petits Nomades 系列的每件作品，皆是融合設計師獨特想像力及 Louis Vuitton 傳統製皮技術與設計工藝的居家飾品傑作。
Fernando & Humberto Campana：「最重要的，旅行能提供展開全新冒險的獨一無二機會。」
FUR COCOON羊絨吊椅 可卸式 Bomboca 沙發
Fernando 與 Humberto Campana 的創意基礎就是要跳脫尋常框架，捕捉日常生活之美。傳遞運用再生材料的獨特方法。FUR COCOON 羊絨吊椅用高科技真空壓模玻璃纖維，加以樹脂強化的材質，覆上羔羊皮，包覆性更溫柔；紅色 Bomboca 沙發靈感源於巴西婚禮和兒童派對上發送的糖果。可卸式 Bomboca 沙發取材自雲朵的形狀和色彩奪目的圓形海蘋果，八個類似拼圖的活動沙發墊安放於裹皮硬殼裡，布料或皮革沙發墊可獨立作為椅凳。
André Fu：「對我而言，創造讓人們能相聚、面對面互動的場域是非常重要的事。」
André Fu 熱切地想要挑戰單一件傢俱的形式，雕塑感表達設計的作品。作品的功能性往往預告了形式。緞帶舞椅 André Fu 的兩人「對話」椅，是傳統亞洲彩帶舞動作的雅緻回音。以路易威登皮革木質包覆的扶手呈現優雅的曲線，椅子的一對座位即平衡坐落於其間，其形啟發關於無限的種種念想，並賦予這件作品欣喜流動的輪廓。
Marcel Wanders：「我們向來視 Louis Vuitton 為熱愛工藝的典範。」
LOUNGE CHAIR 躺椅
Marcel Wanders 的設計方法經常將創新材料與科技混合古老標準，充滿詩意與浪漫特性。LOUNGE CHAIR 躺椅 是“一片能張能收的移動綠洲。三個分開的模筒能像拼圖一樣收組在一起，一展開又可以具有躺臥，座椅，或腳凳等不同功能。固定和收捆三個模筒的皮帶特別不經染色處理，會隨著時間而變古樸，令人想起 Louis Vuitton 的各種經典旅遊系列。
Patricia Urquiola：「對我而言，遊牧生活是一種屬於同世代與輕鬆自在的狀態。」
Patricia Urquiola 的作品展現出色彩以及大量異材質的明確品味。SWING CHAIR 以手提袋為靈感，採用兩個以 Nomade 皮革包覆的大型金屬「提把」，搭配舒適的編織吊網。使用鍍金掛勾及米黃色繩索高掛，舒適的 Nomade 皮革座墊搭配黃色的皮革靠墊，給人坐在雲朵上的放鬆感。
Edward Barber與Jay Osgerby：「工藝是我們工作室作品所不可或缺的要素。」
Edward Barber 與 Jay Osgerby 以學科綜合作法，挑戰工業設計、建築與藝術的界線。設計師想像一個現代提燈。這是由威尼斯的專業玻璃工匠手工吹製的穆拉諾玻璃，再運用革新技術組裝而成，可用太陽能及傳統方式充電。採用經典的 Nomade 皮帶設計細節，為這件燈具注入與我們在 Louis Vuitton 工坊看見的相同工藝傳統。無論是提到花園或帶到野外，都能隨意四處攜帶。
Atelier Biagetti：「遊牧可能是迫於無奈或個人選擇，但卻開闢了嶄新的視野。」
這一對定居米蘭的設計雙人組想要打造一個可以暗示心理更勝於生理的「實驗性作品」。反客為主，由作品佩帶人們。「Anemona」營造與海洋深處間的立即連結。將桌子本身想像成另一個世界的物體，一個扭曲感官的場域。如波浪蜿蜒的底座，底座表面包裹柔軟的米色皮革，內部則為深藍色 Louis Vuitton 皮革。
Yael Mer & Shay Alkalay：「Louis Vuitton 的基本原則是立基於創意想法與革命性解決方案。」
Yael Mer 與 Shay Alkalay 所創立的 Raw Edges，挑戰製作可拆卸物品的系列。過去的焦點都會放在如何將可拆卸物品製作得極小與扁平。但這次合作中卻聚焦如何使物品看起來很大、充滿驚喜且設計精確。CONCERTINA 椅子使用梣木及磨砂鍍金金屬所製作的結構體上，以特殊 Nomade 皮革包覆的重疊花瓣造型襯墊座位可折疊成為椅子，同時兼具迷人造形與坐著的舒適感受。最初以工業用輸送管作為設計靈感，對此設計指出，「使用者必須有玩興」，這張椅子的出色設計採用了最複雜的結構，同時展現極為自然的外型。
ZANELLATO / BORTOTTO：「路易威登將優雅結合精湛工藝、創意與獨創性。」
Giorgia Zanellato 和 Daniele Bortotto 創立 Zanellato/Bortotto 工作室。靈感來自於某些遊牧民族所用的編織、圖騰與典型圖案，他們以布料與皮革製作籃子、地毯與其他日常用品。Zanellato/Bortotto 設計的曼陀羅屏風展現的色彩與工藝，散發著催眠迷幻的氛圍，靈感來自路易威登 Monogram 壓紋的經典花朵造型與幾何曼陀羅嚴肅沉思卻光芒四射的美感。路易威登卓越的皮革編織工藝打造的圖騰緊緊拉過三個金屬環，並安裝在光滑拋光的卡拉拉大理石底座上。令人想起威尼斯潟湖日出時水面斑駁的光影。
Atelier Oï：「邂逅與生活中的經驗能滋養我們工匠的專業技藝。」
Atelier Oï 是由 Aurel Aebi、Armand Louis 與 Patrick Raymond 三人在1991年創立於瑞士，致力突破流派與學科之間的分界限。以研究材質為設計基礎。他們留心觀察不同藝術形式、建築、時尚和現代設計，並與之保持密切關係，讓品牌擁有豐沛的生活個性。。

路易小王子Louis穿哥哥喬治舊衣，依然萌度破表，英國皇室的舊衣新穿
4月23日出生的英國皇室路易小王子Louis，被媽媽凱特王妃形容為「長相最像自己」。儘管不像哥哥因為是女王第一個孫子，充滿膠原蛋白的肥嘟嘟雙頰走到哪裡都吸引鎂光燈閃個不停，可是有自己獨特的魅力，去年剛滿兩歲時用奶音向知名主持人與自然歷史學家David Attenborough提問：什麼是你最喜歡的動物？有點緊張的一面緊握手中樹葉，但把問題順利講完的可愛模樣，讓大家留下深刻印象。
David Attenborough在肯辛頓宮花園播放了紀錄片《A Life On Our Planet》，當時英國皇室成員—-威廉王子、凱特王妃和三個小孩以藍色與灰色系穿搭，展現出溫馨和諧的氣息，路易小王子身上那件上衣更被認出是哥哥2016年跟著爸媽訪問加拿大時的同一件，差別只在哥哥當時穿的是更醒目的紅色短褲。

這並非凱特王妃第一次讓小孩舊衣重穿，2018年當路易小王子出生，姊姊夏綠蒂親吻他額頭的照片，也是哥哥喬治王子的手工編織開襟衫。
看來凱特王妃不僅自己擅長舊衣重新搭配，也用這種方式傳承手足間的情感，看到皇室小孩也跟所有人一樣，排名在後的小孩撿哥哥姊姊的舊衣服穿，讓人感覺相當親切。
順帶一提，路易小王子是金牛座，跟姊姊夏綠蒂公主（5月3日）、祖母伊莉莎白女王（4月21日）、和堂弟阿奇·哈里森（5月6日）都是金牛座，占星學家 Alice Bell說，這肯定不是巧合。「很多時候家族成員都屬於同一個星座…..」這可以讓他們在對方身上學習到重要的人生經驗。金牛座也成為英國皇室相當典型的星座。
Obituary: Dr. Louis N. Taxiarchis MD
BUXTON – Louis N. Taxiarchis passed away at home with his family at his bedside on April 24, 2021 following a brief illness. He was born in Lewiston on August 25, 1928 to Nicholas and Georgia Taxiarchis.
The Great Depression caused the family to move several times and Louis grew up in both Connecticut and Massachusetts in addition to Maine. Following the death of his father, the family settled in Lynn, Mass. on his uncle’s poultry farm.
After graduating from high school Louis returned to Maine to attend Bates College where he earned a degree in chemistry. While there he developed an interest in outdoor pursuits and started on what would be a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. During his junior year he and his classmates took part in fighting the 1947 fire near Brownfield.
Upon graduation in 1949, Louis entered the Army and was trained as an infantryman. The Army soon became aware of his chemistry background and put him to work in the base hospital laboratory where he worked until his honorable discharge in 1951.
That fall he began study at Rutgers University where he obtained a master’s degree in Marine Biology while working summers for the Maine Department of Sea and Shore Fisheries. On graduating he began full time employment with the department. He worked primarily in the Jonesport area, but took part in projects from Kittery to Lubec. Louis attended Tufts University Medical School in Boston from 1955-’59 and then returned to Maine for his residency in Pathology at Maine Medical Center.
While in residency at MMC Louis met and married Catherine Cooper who would be his wife for 57 years until her passing in 2017. Following residency Louis took a position in Pathology at Mercy Hospital in Portland also covering Goodall Hospital in Sanford. He eventually transferred to Goodall full time to work in the new Pathology department, but after two years he returned to Maine Medical Center where he worked for the remainder of his career. He retired from MMC in 1994.
Most of Louis’ life was spent as an avid sportsman. He hunted throughout the northeast and western states as well as abroad. He loved training gun dogs and was a member of several clubs in the area. He enjoyed fly fishing for trout and salmon in Maine and Canada making biannual trips to the Maramichi River in New Brunswick, and several other expeditions to Northern Quebec and Labrador. In addition to these pursuits, he was an avid woodworker, forager, gunsmith, a bit of an artist, and he read books. Volumes and volumes of books. Most of which he could quote from memory. He found joy in all these things, and was always willing to share his knowledge with anyone who showed an interest.
Louis is predeceased by his wife, Catherine; sister, Mary and brother, John.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth and son-in-law William, son, Nick and daughter-in-law Brenda, and son, John and daughter-in-law Elena. He also leaves three granddaughters Christina, Catherine, and Vanessa.
There will be a graveside service for both Louis and his wife Catherine at the Woodlawn Cemetery on Groveville Road in Buxton on June 5 at 11 a.m.
