From long hairs to several branded motorbikes, former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been a style icon for more than a decade. On Wednesday, Dhoni was spotted at the Mumbai International Airport with his wife Sakshi Rawat, but everyone’s focus was on his accessories.

MS Dhoni and Sakshi had arrived at the airport to board a flight and during the boarding, even though he was in a simple outfit, his black shoes became a point of talking. Dhoni was wearing the black sneakers of Balmain company. Although, its real cost is INR 60 Lakh, import duty, customs duty, and other add-ons take its cost to around 90 Lakh.

Sakshi was equally matching Dhoni, as far as the style quotient was concerned. Sakshi was wearing a black flowing dress. Along with the outfit, she was seen in a black jacket. She had a Christian Dior tote bag along with blue nail-paint. And, going with a watch, she was seen in beige-coloured shoes.

As far as the professional front is concerned, Dhoni will be seen donning yellow again in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is concerned. Dhoni retired from international cricket last year on India’s independence day, however, he still continues to ply his trade in the shortest format.

People who follow him on social media are well aware of the fact that Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor is a proper sneakerhead, a hypebeast, and has one of the dopest collection of sneakers in Bollywood, if not the entire world.

Forget all other celebrities or sneakerheads that you may know of, desi or international. If you want to know what it takes to be a hypebeast and a proper sneakerhead, then Harsh Varrdhan is the one you need to follow. He recently showed us why.

Harsh Varrdhan was seen at the premiere show for a popular OTT platform, that is known for its explicit content. The actor was seen wearing one of the coolest outfits we have ever seen a male celebrity wear. And of course, one of the most coveted pairs of sneakers.

Let’s have a look at his outfit first.

Harsh Varrdhan is wearing a pair of heavily distressed denims, a basic, baggy T-shirt, and a jacket. The jacket has to be the statement piece of the outfit, given how remarkable it was.

It seemed that the jacket was made from repurposed bits and pieces of old clothing. The pastiche-like appearance of the jacket gave it a very interesting appeal.

If indeed the jacket was made of repurposed fabrics and materials, then it clearly is, a great step in the direction of sustainability.

Celebrities genuinely need to embrace sustainable fashion in a big way, and wear such pieces on the red carpet.

We just hope that Harsh Varrdhan’s wearing a piece from an indie label.

Then, there are the sneakers. What we see Harsh Varrdhan wearing here, are nothing short of the Rolls Royces of the sneaker world.

Sure, there are more exclusive, and expensive sneakers in the world than these, but they are not nearly as iconic.

Harsh Varrdhan is wearing the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Dior, a pair of sneakers from Nike & Dior, that came as a result of a very unique and rare collaboration.

Saying that the sneakers are exquisite would be an understatement - they are just marvellous. All the materials used to make these sneakers, the leather, the canvas, the fabric - they are as premium as things can get.

Because of the rarity of Dior’s & Nike’s collaboration. Demands for the sneakers were high. The two labels made a total of 8,500 pairs for the world, all of which were sold out within half an hour of the launch.

Such a collectable piece is of course going to be expensive. While the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Dior used to retail for $2,200, they resell for at least $6,500 to $7,000. That’s almost a 350 per cent jump.

On average, the sneakers will set you back by Rs 5.95 Lakhs, easily, if you’re trying to get it in India. However, according to StockX, one of the best sneaker trading platforms, there are reports that suggest that someone actually paid close to $16,000 for these sneakers.

That is just an obscene amount of money for a pair of sneakers.

All in all, though, this is a dapper looking outfit, and an even doper looking pair of sneakers. Take a bow Harsh Varrdhan!
