Amsterdam - Gezocht - Woningoverval Ferdinand Bolstraat: unieke horloges gezocht

Een 67-jarige bewoner van de Ferdinand Bolstraat in Amsterdam is op woensdag 9 september 2020 met veel geweld in zijn woning overvallen. Om 20.45 uur dringen meerdere gewapende mannen zijn huis in. Het is het slachtoffer al snel duidelijk dat het de overvallers om de inhoud van de kluis gaat. De bewoner wordt bij deze overval zodanig mishandeld, dat hij in het ziekenhuis moet worden behandeld. Bij deze woningoverval zijn onder meer drie unieke horloges buitgemaakt, maar zijn nooit teruggevonden. De politie roept de hulp in van het publiek, omdat deze unieke exemplaren mogelijk bij horlogeverzamelaars en –liefhebbers zijn opgevallen.

We zijn op zoek naar:

een Rolex, type Oyster Perpetual Yacht Master, inclusief het certificaat. Het betreft hier een Rolex met een blauwe kast en een opvallende band, zie foto.

een (soortgelijke) Breitling Bentley Motors T 2006, met opvallende achterkant: bewerkt met auto’s van het merk Bentley. Ook deze Breitling is meegeroofd mèt het certificaat.

een (soortgelijk) horloge van het merk Tissot, RAF automatic uit de jaren ‘60, speciaal gemaakt voor de Royal Air Force. Het betreft hier het eerste automatische horloge van die tijd en is zo bijzonder dat er wereldwijd maar tientallen van zijn gemaakt.

Quartz Watches

Whether you choose this black and optic yellow combo, or go for the all gold or gunmetal finish, there is nothing shy or retiring about this quartz chronograph (somehow appropriate for a brand called Nixon?). The name reflects its extra-large 51 millimeter size, and its 30 ATM waterproof rating. It’s chunky, so leans toward the casual, but we think it’s dressy enough for most occasions.

Bremont offers flight in a restored Spitfire with Battle of Britain box set of watches

As a tribute to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, which was celebrated this week, Bremont has made a box set of two watches made in honor of Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane aircraft that were instrumental in protecting the UK from German air assault.

Several American airmen flew with Britain’s Royal Air Force, despite the battle taking place a year before the USA joined the war.

Bremont is producing just 80 of the limited edition box sets, and each owner will be given the opportunity to take a flight in a Spitfire at RAF Duxford in the UK.

“So much of our lives have revolved around wartime aviation and mechanical devices. The Battle of Britain was such an iconic time in British history, and all of the airmen from both sides were superheroes of the day. “The fact that we have come up with a beautifully engineered set of timepieces commemorating the battle, and with it comes the unique opportunity to experience the adrenaline and history of flying in a wartime Spitfire, is a totally unique offering in the marketplace. It’s all rather special really.”

Honouring the Spitfire is Bremont’s EP120 chronograph, with a black dial design with white instruments inspired by the Smiths clocks that can be found in the Spitfires that flew during the Battle of Britain.

The Bremont BOB Spitfire has a closed case back stamped with a top profile of the Supermarine Spitfire, the most widely produced and strategically important British single-seat fighter of World War II.

Its 43mm black DLC-coated case houses a modified BE-54AE automatic chronometer-rated chronograph.

Bremont’s BOB Huricane is a more retro pilot style watch with a 40mm steel case, black metal dial and nickel hands. It is sold on a vintage brown leather bund strap.

It uses the chronometer-certified BE-92AE automatic movement.

The box set with Spitfire flight is on sale now for $18,995.
