Kareena Asks Fans To ‘Wear A Mask’ While Wearing Ultra Expensive Non-Medical One Herself

Since the onset of the pandemic last year, we’ve not seen as many Bollywood celebrities test positive for COVID-19 as right now. Clearly, with shoots and events resuming despite the safety protocols, the virus cannot be contained. The fear is apparent and Bollywood’s queen bee, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is feeling the heat too. Masked and ready, the 40-year-old’s Instagram selfie might be asking netizens to be safe, but the real celebrity is in the details and if you’re quick, you can spot it too!

The black mask

Wearing a grey graphic printed tee with a circular pendant gold necklace, the Veere Di Wedding actress captioned her filtered photo, “No propaganda, just wear your mask”. TBH, we’d love to be wearing Bebo’s Louis Vuitton mask considering it costs a whopping $355. That’s a sum total of nearly Rs.26,000 for just a single mask! We get that celebrities are rich but at a time when most of us have a mask collection featuring 26 different varieties, how much are you willing to invest on just one?

Since the price tag genuinely intrigued us, we had to find out just what this mask contains and why. After a little digging, we found out that the mask is actually ‘non-medical’ as stated on the official website. Essentially just a silk mask, the item comes in a luxurious silk pouch as well with signature LV prints on it. While we get the significance of the post from team Bebo, we’re slightly disappointed by her choice of accessory to drive her point through. Where’s the research fam?

Celebrities and their ‘masked’ appearances

While we cannot really hold Bollywood accountable for the rise in cases, do you think it would be more impactful if they strictly upheld the protocols and severely propagated the rules?
