Eminem’s Ex-Wife Kim Scott Hospitalized After Suicide Attempt – Report
Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Scott, was reportedly hospitalized last month due to an attempt at self-harm.
According to a report from TMZ on Wednesday (Aug. 11), the Detroit rapper’s former wife was rushed to the hospital on July 30 after attempting suicide at her Michigan home. Law enforcement sources claim that police and paramedics arrived at the residence following a call of a suicidal person. Kim was reportedly combative and required restraining by authorities.
Due to Kim Scott being so uncooperative and violent when medics arrived, her vitals weren’t able to be checked. She allegedly appeared to have cut herself as she had multiple small lacerations on the back of her legs and a decent amount of blood was on the floor.
When she was rushed to the hospital for medical attention, Kim reportedly received a mental evaluation as well. However, reports claim that she is back home and currently recovering. The report also notes that it is unclear whether or not Em’s ex-wife is receiving additional care or treatment.
In May of 2016, Kim revealed that her 2015 DUI was actually a suicide attempt. She had flipped her black Cadillac Escalade while driving and crashed into a utility pole, and said her actions were intentional. Kim shared that she had drank a fifth of Malibu rum and also took pills at the time before getting behind the wheel.
Eminem and Kim, who dated in high school, married back in 1999, later divorcing in 2001. The couple briefly remarried in January of 2006, and Em filed for legal separation months later in April. Together, they share one child together, Hailie.

OutKast to Release ATLiens Video Game
This Friday (Aug. 27), OutKast will release a 25th anniversary deluxe edition of their breakthrough album ATLiens. The genre-defining LP, released in 1996, established André 3000 and Big Boi as two of the dopest lyricists from ATL.
To commemorate the album’s quarter of a century anniversary, the dynamic rap duo will release a mobile game produced by London-based digital agency F That. The game will allow users to play as either Big Boi or Three Stacks and battle aliens in Atlanta. The goal is to collect as many vinyl discs as you can to achieve the highest number of points possible.
The game will work on both mobile and desktop browsers with integration through Spotify and Apple Music. No official release date has been set just yet.
In addition to the video game, ’Kast’s ATLiens (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) is a vinyl collector’s dream. The collection—available in both digital and vinyl tomorrow—will include the original 14 songs plus previously unreleased instrumental tracks mixed in Hi-Res 24-bit sound in multiple formats. Plus, there will be limited-edition 25th anniversary merchandise to cop as well.
Today (Aug. 26), OutKast dropped an animated music video for the album’s banging track “Two Dope Boyz (In a Cadillac).” The clip, directed by Rafael Perez, a.k.a. Rafatoon, of Dreambear production company, takes viewers on a planetary ride, in a red Cadillac of course, through their ATL hood.
Since ATLiens was released in 1996, the album has been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and boasts the classic singles “Elevators (Me & You)”, “ATLiens” and “Jazzy Belle”.

Nas, Young Nudy, Fredo Bang and More – New Projects This Week
Summer is slowly dwindling down, but the season is still going strong, and with that comes more new projects for rap fans to bump through the weekend and beyond. There are some releases from a veteran MC from Queens, N.Y., an artist out of East Atlanta and a rapper who is currently incarcerated.
Nas drops King’s Disease II, his 14th solo album. The effort is the follow-up to his Grammy Award-winning 2020 offering, King’s Disease. King’s Disease II features appearances from Eminem, a first-time joint effort between the two veteran MCs, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, YG, EPMD, “If I Ruled the World” collaborator Lauryn Hill, 2021 XXL Freshman Blxst and more. Like Nas' initial offering of the LP, this sequel is executive produced by himself alongside Hit-Boy. The West Coast producer is responsible for the album’s instrumentation in its entirety.
Young Nudy keeps the momentum going after the release of his DR. EV4L project in May with the new album Rich Shooter. The 20-track effort finds the Atlanta rhymer pairing his cool, calm and collected rhymes with imminent threats on tracks like “Keep It in the Street,” produced by Pi’erre Bourne, and admitting he’s consumed by guns and violence on “Addicted,” produced by Coupe. Future, Peewee Longway and Gucci Mane, among others, show up with guest features to bring some different energy to Slime’s new album.
Fredo Bang isn’t letting his current incarceration stop him from putting out new music. Two weeks after getting picked up in Miami on a fugitive warrant, the Baton Rouge, La. rapper drops the new album Murder Made Me. The new LP features 16 songs and guest appearances from Polo G, Coi Leray, Big30 and Mozzy.
