Nicki Minaj Helps Boosts Mall Cop’s IG After He Lets Her Fan Rap In Store

]

An impromptu moment caught Nicki Minaj’s attention after a video went viral. It all reportedly went down at a Zara store in a shopping mall after a dedicated Barb named Zha Chanel took a speaker and a microphone into the store and put on a surprise solo performance of “Whole Lotta Money (Remix.” Nicki Minaj recently appeared on the updated version of BIA’s viral hit, and the song has been running up the charts since it hit streaming services.

In Zha Chanel’s video, immediately after beginning the performance, a security guard is seen telling them that they can’t record and rap in the store, but he doesn’t enforce the rules.

Nicki and her Barbz appreciated him not getting authorities involved or kicking Zha out of the mall, so the rapper reached out to thank him for being kind to her fan. TMZ caught up with the security guard, Michael, and he revealed that Nicki not only reached out to him, but she helped his online following by tagging him in her Instagram Stories.

He revealed that his manager has contacted Minaj and he received a late-night call from the rapper who told him that she wanted him to appear on Instagram Live with her. “I didn’t believe it,” said Michael. “I was buying pizza. I didn’t believe it… Like, yo, I’m talking to Nicki Minaj. I don’t know what’s going on.”

Minaj told him that she would like one of his photos so he should be prepared to receiving more attention, and she was right. “My phone is still buzzing,” said Michael. He added that he wasn’t sure if he would get into any trouble over the incident, but he said he “respects positive vibes.”

Michael also revealed that Nicki promised to send him a gift, and while he has no idea what it is, he’s appreciative of anything she gives. Check out Michael speaking about the incident along with Zha Chanel below.

Nicki Minaj Boosts Instagram Following of Security Guard Who Let Fan Rap in Store

]

After a successful appeal to the public, Nicki Minaj has tracked down a security guard, Michael, who let one of her fans, Zha Chanel, rap at the Zara where he was working. Cue up a supporting visual which, in this instance, is footage of Chanel’s performance off Minaj’s IG page. Note that Michael initially reacts how one would expect a security guard to act, but then after about two seconds appears to internally say alright, whatever:

Chanel performed a cover of “Whole Lotta Money,” the BIA track on which Minaj is featured on, and Michael went viral, at least amongst Barbz and other followers of Minaj, for looking the other way and allowing it to happen. Minaj shared a re-post of the clip. She also put out a message looking for the guard’s details. It was this message:

According to TMZ (who spoke to the security worker), Chanel and the manager of the store attempted to relay over the information being sought out. The outlet continues to say that, after Minaj verified he was who she was looking for, she started liking his Instagram posts, which led to several fans of hers doing the same. Also, his follower count reportedly went up (again, according to TMZ) because she tagged him in her stories on Monday.

Here’s an(other) visual example to help, this time courtesy of his social media:

This is a very specific-to-this-era reward. Michael is reportedly very pleased with it. In addition to the greater online reach, Minaj is apparently set to gift him with something else, though “something else” is all we know at the moment.

To sum up, again, he appears to be very happy with the response. He’s not sure if he will get in trouble at work. It also does not sound like that’s a huge concern.

Michael was actually with Zha when he told us what went down when Nicki let her followers know she was looking for him to give him a gift for looking the other way during Zha’s impromptu gig.

Sounds like Zha – along with Michael’s store manager – went out of their way to get him connected to Nicki, and he says he couldn’t believe it.

After Nicki got proof it was really him, she told Michael she was going to like one of his Instagram pics to get the likes rolling in … and he says his phone’s been blowing up ever since.

Even better – she also tagged him in one of her IG stories … so now his follower count’s skyrocketing too!

Michael says he’s enjoying the ride, and he’s not sure if he’s going to get in any trouble for letting Zha do her thing, but he doesn’t care if he does – he’s just happy to support Black artists, and get some positive vibes in return.
