Singer-actress comes to Rome to begin filming Gucci movie directed by Ridley Scott.

Lady Gaga has arrived in Rome to start filming the new Ridley Scott movie about the Gucci ‘Black Widow’ Patrizia Reggiani who was jailed for the murder of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci.

The 11-time Grammy-winning singer, who achieved global fame with hits such as Poker Face and Bad Romance, will play Gucci’s ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani, in Scott’s movie.

The arrival of the singer-actress in Rome comes after her dog-walker was shot last night in Hollywood, and her two French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen.

The singer is offering a reward of half a million dollars for the return of her dogs, “no questions asked,” according to CNN.

Lady Gaga is currently staying in a hotel in Rome but is said to be seeking a place to call her own during filming, with “talk of a penthouse between Monti and the Imperial Fora,” according to newspaper La Repubblica.

The is the second film for Lady Gaga who co-starred in A star is Born, directed by Bradley Cooper, and penned the hugely successful song Shallow from the movie’s soundtrack.

Fresh from singing the American anthem at the inauguration of President Joe Biden , the star will join a stellar cast in Scott’s movie, including Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Adam Driver, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons.

Lady Gaga will portray Patrizia Reggiani who was convicted of arranging the assassination of Maurizio Gucci outside his Milan office in 1995.

During her high-profile trial Reggiani gained the nickname “The Black Widow” and was sentenced to 29 years in prison. She served 18 years and was released in 2016.

Scott will film the movie in several different locations in Italy including Milan , Florence, Lake Como and Rome.

The veteran film director has a strong connection to Italy through his massive hit film Gladiator , starring Russell Crowe, and more recently All the Money in the World about the Getty kidnapping in Rome.

Last autumn Hollywod star Tom Cruise spent several weeks filming scenes in Rome for Mission: Impossible 7 , including car chases in Monti.

Lady Gaga Nails Italian Glamour in Rome

Spotted! Lady Gaga has touched down in Rome, Italy for her latest project—and she’s already dressed in character. The superstar is beginning to film her new movie, Gucci, which centers around the famous fashion family. Gaga will portray Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani, who is the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci (grandson of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci). Reggiani was tried and convicted of orchestrating her husband’s assassination in 1995, so it will no doubt be a juicy role to follow up Gaga’s A Star Is Born, her last film. She stepped out in Rome this week channelling the highest form of Italian glamour, a Reggiani signature.

Sporting new, dark brown hair (for the film, likely), Gaga shed her futuristic Chromatica image in favor of a more vampy Italiano look. She hit the streets in a flowy, one-shouldered cheetah print gown from Celine’s fall 2020 collection that would make any Italian nona proud. Around her neck, a crystal choker added some flash and awe. (Reggiani was known for her love of bold costume jewelry, too). Meanwhile, Gaga’s chic black pumps, studded face mask, leather top-handle bag, and cat-eye sunglasses infused the ensemble with a more sleek finish. The outfit screams “la dolce vita!”

Lady Gaga gave fans the first look into her on-screen attire as she got into character for her new film, “Gucci.”

The singer-turned-actress is set to star in Ridley Scott’s new movie depicting the Gucci family dynasty and the murder of Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of the brand’s founder, Guccio Gucci. Gaga will play Maurizio’s ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who was found guilty of orchestrating her ex-husband’s assassination in 1995.

And yesterday, in Rome, the “Bad Romance” musician was spotted in her on-set attire while arriving at her hotel. The outfit teamed a vintage-inspired, one-shoulder leopard print dress with glittering jewels and a protective leather face mask between takes.

As for footwear, Lady Gaga continued the classic retro Italian style moment as she braced the cobblestone streets in teetering heels. The sleek pumps included a pointed-toe design accented by a rounded vamp and a towering stiletto heel that appeared to measure close to 5 inches in height.

As for her role, Maurizio left Reggiani after 12 years for a younger woman, sparking her motivation, among other reasons, for his murder; she served 18 years in prison and was released in 2016, earning her the infamous nickname Black Widow. The script will be based on Sara Gay Forden’s book “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour and Greed.”

As for Lady Gaga herself, when it comes to shoes, the taller the better may as well be Lady Gaga’s motto; the “Rain On Me” singer’s go-to designers for everything footwear include Pleaser Shoes, of course, Demonia, Cecilio Castrillo and Versace amongst other labels providing custom pairs.
