Days of Our Lives Recap: Justin Proposes to Bonnie

At home, John and Marlena excitedly prepare for a dinner party. John opens the door to Abe who has egg yolk all over his jacket. As Marlena soaks it in cold water, Abe explains people aren’t very happy with him for his involvement with Paulina and the Square. John and Marlena tell him it’s not his fault, but Abe disagrees. He’s the mayor and he went to bat for her. Marlena wonders if there’s anything they can do to stop this. Abe says it was all done legally so Paulina will get everything she wants. Marlena asks if Paulina wants to work it out with him. As far as Abe’s concerned, it is over.

From home, Lani folds clothes while she talks to Eli on the phone. She hangs up when Paulina knocks on the door. Lani slams the door in her aunt’s face. Paulina persists until Lani lets her in. Paulina asks to talk to Chanel, but Lani reports she’s not there. Concerned, Paulina texts her daughter, who ignores it. When Paulina bemoans Chanel not answering her, Lani lists all the wrongs she’s committed. Lani thought having her there was a blessing but it turned out to be a con. Paulina begs her niece not to turn her back on her. Lani opens the door and tells her to go.

At Nicole’s place, Allie asks Chanel about their kiss. Chanel admits she is starting to feel something more for her than friendship. Allie might feel the same way. She thinks about her all the time, but she’s confused. Chanel points out she and Tripp aren’t serious, so they should see where things go between them.

Tripp knocks on the door. He was hoping to hang with Allie but suggests the three of them have another dance party. Chanel goes for a walk because Allie and Tripp have a lot to talk about. Allie tells Tripp she and Chanel kissed again. This time, it was mutual. Tripp wonders where that leaves them. Allie assures him she’s not breaking up with him. She’s confused, but he’s the one she wants to be with. Tripp just wants her to be happy. He really cares about her. She reciprocates the sentiment and they kiss.

Paulina finds Chanel in the Square walking by Sweet Bits. She offers to carve out a spot in Price Town for her bakery. Chanel wants nothing to do with Price Town or her. Abe approaches as Chanel stomps off. Paulina says she’ll do anything to make up for what she’s done. Abe tells her to stop the demolition then. When she hesitates, he says, “Yeah, that’s what I thought,” and walks away.

Chanel returns to the apartment and watches Allie lead Tripp to her bedroom.

Julie bursts into the Salem PD to tell Eli that Xander and Gwen murdered Dr. Snyder. Eli counters Snyder died of natural causes. Julie wonders why he ended up in a lake full clothed then. And what about Gwen’s lie about the last time she saw him? Eli agrees to question them again. Julie leads the way.

The house is empty when Eli and Julie get there. Julie’s upset, not just about Snyder, but Paulina as well. However, she assures Eli no one blames Lani or Abe.

Eli comes home and gets caught up on Paulina’s visit. Lani also relays that she talked with her mother who suggested she try forgiveness. Lani doesn’t know how she can though.

After Justin turns down Bonnie’s marriage proposal at Julie’s Place, Bonnie rants about not being good enough. Justin wants to explain, but Bonnie runs out.

Justin finds Bonnie gathering her things in his room at the Kiriakis mansion. He gets down on one knee. She asks what he’s doing down there. He exclaims, “Isn’t it obvious? I’m trying to propose.” Bonnie’s confused. Justin explains he turned her down because he wanted to be the one to pop the question. He opens a ring box and asks her to marry him. Through tears, Bonnie says yes. There’s nothing in the world she wants more. Bonnie can’t believe this is happening. She’s afraid one day he’ll wake up and realize she’s not who he thinks she is. Justin knows who she is. He sees her and loves her for making him laugh, for pushing him out of his comfort zone, and for making him feel like every day is an adventure. One he doesn’t want to end. Bonnie has never felt this loved in her entire life. They kiss and fall on the bed.

Later in bed, Bonnie asks Justin who will be his best man. He assumes Sonny. Bonnie thinks that will be a good match with Kayla as her matron of honor. Justin is surprised by the choice but says she can have whatever she wants — as long as he has her.

Next on Days of Our Lives: Nicole gets a surprise, and things get awkward between Chanel, Allie and Tripp.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Update: Tuesday, July 13 – Allie Chooses Tripp Over Chanel – Paulina’s Punishment – John & Marlena’s Mission

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Tuesday, July 13, teases that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will choose Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) over Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) – at least for now. Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will also face her punishment while John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) carry out a cheering-up mission.

At Julie’s Place on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) will be absolutely devastated. In fact, Bonnie will be so upset over Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) unexpected rejection that she bolts away from the table!

Justin turned down Bonnie’s marriage proposal, so she’ll be crushed and will understandably want to flee in humiliation.

However, Justin will run after Bonnie as he frantically tries to explain. He’ll insist that he really does want to marry Bonnie.

Justin will just want to be the one to offer this magical proposal memory instead. He’ll stun Bonnie when he drops to one knee and holds up the engagement ring, so Bonnie will happily accept.

Afterward, Justin and Bonnie will make the night even more special by sizzling in the bedroom.

That should lead to Bonnie filling Justin in on her request to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).

Bonnie wants Kayla to be her matron of honor, but Justin will have some reservations about that once he gets updates.

Nevertheless, Justin probably won’t want to kill the mood and may just go along with Bonnie’s suggestion for now. In the meantime, Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) will have some harsh words for Paulina.

Paulina will have more excuses, but Lani won’t want to hear them. She won’t think Paulina is truly sorry and will express just how betrayed she feels.

Days spoilers say Lani will shut Paulina out of her life and break her aunt’s heart in the process.

This seemingly means Paulina won’t have access to Carver Grant or Jules Grant now, so that’ll add to her suffering. Paulina adores Lani and the twins, so she’ll definitely be feeling the pain of her punishment.

Next, Chanel Dupree will stop by the Sweet Bits Bakery site and reflect on what might’ve been.

Chanel will hate that Paulina lied and let her believe in a dream that wouldn’t come true.

When Chanel crosses paths with Paulina, there’ll be more tension. It doesn’t look like Chanel will be ready to forgive and forget anytime soon!

Of course, Allie has assured Chanel that they can figure out another way to make this bakery happen.

Chanel may try to trust Allie on that in the end, but there’ll be a more pressing matter on her mind.

Allie and Chanel really need to discuss their most recent kisses during the Independence Day fireworks.

Chanel has already been crushing hard due to the connection she feels with Allie.

That make-out sesh on the couch only strengthened Chanel’s feelings, so she’ll decide to get bold and honest. Chanel will share what’s in her heart, but it seems Allie will remain in denial.

Despite Chanel’s suggestion that Allie should break up with Tripp, Allie will stick with her current romance for now.

It looks like Tripp will interrupt this conversation, so Chanel will ultimately decide to leave.

Allie will then plant a big kiss on Tripp, but will it be from the heart or just a way to move past what she’s feeling for Chanel?

It’s obvious Allie has some complicated feelings to deal with – and she can’t mask them by throwing herself into a serious relationship with Tripp.

It’d be better for Allie to take a step back and figure things out, but it appears she’ll just ignore her true desires for the time being.

Other Days spoilers say John and Marlena will do whatever they can to help Abe Carver (James Reynolds).

Abe will be down in the dumps, so Marlena and John will hope to bring a little sunshine to his life.

It won’t be easy since Abe’s so upset and angry over Paulina’s actions, but John and Marlena’s efforts couldn’t hurt!

Days of Our Lives spoilers say there’s still hope for Abe and Paulina’s future, but it’s going to take some hard work and determination for Paulina to win him back.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Tuesday, July 13: Chanel Admits She May Have Feelings for Allie; Lani tells Paulina She’s Out of her Life; Marlena and John Try to Cheer up Abe

‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers here and we’re set with some emotional spoilery goodies, so be sure to grab plenty of comfort food.

It’s not often it looks like an episode is going to be mainly heart break, and we think there will be some light-hearted moments as well as things being smoothed over at some point.

We hope for some, anyway.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Tuesday, July 13: Admitting the feels

Whelp, we expected this to happen at some point with all the teases with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) thinking back to their kiss, and now after Allie “comforted” her, things are going to get interesting.

Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) is going to take a risk and admit she may have feelings for Allie. ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers assume she’s going to admit this to Allie, but we could be wrong.

This will be a touching moment and we think Allie will share those feelings.

It’ll be cool seeing them together and exploring their new relationship, but we can’t help but wonder how does Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) fit into things going forward?

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Tuesday, July 13: Lani severs ties

With the aftermath of Paulina Price (Jackée Harry)’s betrayal still fresh and painful, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) is going to take a step to protect herself and her family from anymore fallout.

She’s going to tell Paulina that she’s cutting her out of her life. Given how her actions have caused Paulina to lose everyone she cares about, this will destroy her.

While we have little doubt that Chanel will eventually forgive her, we don’t see Lani crossing that bridge without some major changes on Paulina’s part and then, maybe.

This could be the best/hardest scene of the episode, and we’re stoked to see what they’re going to put us through as they’ll bring their A game to this one.

This is going to be one scene where we may have to save it to watch a dozen or so times.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Tuesday, July 13: Best efforts

With news of Paulina’s betrayal spreading, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall) will be looking to cheer Abe Carver (James Reynolds) up.

It’s going to be interesting to see their turnaround when it comes to Paulina as Marlena knew her and John wanted to meet her.

There’s no question Abe is going to be crushed from the blow Paulina dealt him, but they’ll be there like the true friends they are.

Given how things go in Salem, we expect Lani or Paulina to cross their path at some point and that’ll lead into the next episode.
