Coaches will.i.am, Anne-Marie, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs have completed their teams and this evening it was on to the battles.
Each of the coaches put two of their singers against one another in a musical duel that only one could win.
But it wasn’t necessarily the end for the loser as rival coaches could swoop in and steal them for their own teams, although each coach could only steal one act.
By the end of all the battles (which continue next Saturday night) each coach will have a total of six acts, five still standing from their line ups and one other stolen from the other teams.
Tonight saw the first half of the battles and here were the pairings and all the results…

First, coaches will.i.am, Anne-Marie, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs give their teams a pep talk and some top tips before they’re paired up to work on their performance.
In each battle, one act will win and progress through to the knockouts. But it’s not all over for the loser with the other coaches able to steal acts that their rivals reject, securing them for their team in the knockout rounds.
However each coach only has one steal to use so they’re sure to be extra picky about who they poach.
Saturday sees the first of two rounds of battles on ITV from 8:35PM.
Here is a first look at all of the battle pairings from tonight’s show…

TV ghosthunters at Coco Chanel’s abandoned, decaying Scottish Highlands mansion told ‘get out’ by unseen presence
TELLY ghosthunters claim they were urged to leave Coco Chanel’s derelict Scots lovenest by an unseen presence that hissed: “Get out”.
Supernatural investigator Karl Hassall told of the eerie encounter when his Dark Arts TV team explored her abandoned 1920s hideaway Rosehall House near Lairg, Sutherland.

They used a dictaphone to capture electronic voice phenomena, or EVP, and a ‘spirit box’ to measure odd sound wave fluctuations thought to be caused by restless spooks.
But the group, also including pal Anthony Wheatman, made a sharp exit when the gear picked up creepy noises.
Karl, 30, said: “It started with taps and a sound like a voice. I asked if the spirit created a bang earlier and got a response saying ‘indeed’ and a voice said ‘we’re here’.
“Later we heard ‘pain’ multiple times and ‘get out’.
“Other voices seemed to say something about a fight and that someone died there by potentially being knifed as the voice said ‘cut him’.

“A couple of potentially paranormal things happened.
“Whether any of this is correct is hard to say as the existence of hauntings is almost impossible to prove.”
Legendary French fashion designer Chanel, who died in 1971, revamped the 20-bedroom mansion when she lived there in the 1920s as the mistress of owner Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster.
Furniture, fireplaces and wallpaper she designed are still in the ruined building, empty since 1967.

Dark Arts visited last year before lockdown. Karl said the Manchester-based team may return when possible.
The B-listed pile has on sale for £2.5million since 2015.
It’s believed an overseas buyer has been found and may bring it back to life as a hotel.
