Eiza González is the new face of Louis Vuitton.

The 31-year-old I Care a Lot actress stars in the luxury brand’s new campaign for their fragrance, On the Beach. González wrote on Instagram that she was “beyond honored” for her new role, as well as shared a photo of herself in sunset-inspired body paint.

González, who was born in Mexico City, also expressed how it feels to be a Mexican woman representing Louis Vuitton.

“I grew up watching all these beauty campaigns in the ’90s and I wouldn’t see a lot of Mexican women in them, especially in these large-scale brands,” she told Vogue. “It was always kind of sold to me that I had to be a specific style of woman to be it, and the fact that girls in Mexico who are brown and Latina like me will see a campaign like this and recognize themselves in it with the scale of the brand makes me so honored and happy.”

“It’s normalizing an image for people and making people feel included and seen,” she added.

ET spoke with González ahead of the release of her hit Netflix thriller co-starring Rosamund Pike, where she touched on playing a badass character, as well as shedding predisposed ideas of roles she should play.

“My role was just crucial for Marla’s role. Fran is a foil of Marla and she’s a grand component of the film,” she explained. “It was fun for me to play a role that I hadn’t done before and hadn’t been allowed to play too because of the predisposed ideas of what I should be playing.”

“And it was fun to have a director that broke those norms with me,” she said, adding, “Yes, [I didn’t have to be the token Latina].”

Eiza González is the face of Louis Vuitton’s latest fragrance, On the Beach — and posed nude for the campaign wearing nothing but colorful, sunset-inspired body paint.

Multimedia artist Alex Israel, who also designed the perfume’s bottle and packaging, hand-painted the “I Care a Lot” actress’ skin in a textural gradient of pale blue, yellow, orange and red for the shoreside shoot, a painstaking process that took a full working day to finish.

“It looks like I rolled on magical rainbow sand!” González, 31, told Vogue of the end results.

“It took eight full hours, almost nine actually, which is insane. And then it took almost four hours to get rid of it … You can imagine taking it off was like the ultimate scrub. My skin was, no joke, the softest it’s been in my entire life.”

Priced at $265, On the Beach features notes of yuzu, neroli and aromatic herbs.

Eiza said she was ‘honored’ by the partnership, later telling Vogue that it meant a lot as a Latina woman to be the face of such a big brand.

She softly rested her hand on her forehead with slicked back tresses, letting the ornate body paint do the talking.

A gradient of colors from cascading up her arm and torso, she showed off her assets modestly, telling the fashion publication she felt like she ‘rolled on magical rainbow sand.’

Though the process ultimately made for a stunning shoot, she confessed that the painting process took eight hours.

‘It took eight full hours, almost nine actually, which is insane. And then it took almost four hours to get rid of it,’ she shared, adding that taking the paint off made her skin so soft and was the ‘ultimate scrub.’

The Baby Driver actress has spoken about about the importance of representation for Latina women as a Hollywood actress, adding that this campaign with a major fashion house holds a lot of weight fo her.

‘I grew up watching all these beauty campaigns in the ’90s and I wouldn’t see a lot of Mexican women in them, especially in these large-scale brands.

‘The fact that girls in Mexico who are brown and Latina like me will see a campaign like this and recognize themselves in it with the scale of the brand makes me so honored and happy,’ adding that she wants people to feel ‘included and seen.’

Eiza has shared that she felt like she was able to expand her repertoire with I Care A Lot, having been tapped mostly in ‘hot accomplice’ style roles or as the ‘token Latina,’ in conversation with ET.

‘It was fun for me to play a role that I hadn’t done before and hadn’t been allowed to play too because of the predisposed ideas of what I should be playing,’ she shared.

The film’s success has shed new light on the in-demand actress who has been itching to play more serious roles that cast her as the lead.

While announcing that her latest film Godzilla vs. Kong was available on HBO Max on Wednesday, she joked, ‘brought a very profound performance. A true thespian.’
